<h3>WHAT TO EXPECT:</h3>

<p>The Road to Hana is renowned as one of the world's most scenic drives and is a popular sightseeing activity for exploring Maui's stunning waterfalls, black sand beaches, bamboo forests, lava rock formations, and breathtaking ocean views. The route features 620 curves and 59 bridges.</p>

<p>If you prefer to travel independently at your own pace, GyPSy Guide offers the best Road to Hana tour experience, giving you the freedom to choose what you enjoy most—whether it's squishing the black sand between your toes at Wai'anapanapa, hiking the Pipiwai Bamboo Trail, or indulging in an extra slice of banana bread.</p>

<p>You won't want to miss cheering on the world-class windsurfers at Ho'okipa. And there's no need to worry about capturing postcard-worthy photos of the Rainbow Eucalyptus at Ke'anae Arboretum or the striking contrast between blue water and black lava rock at Ke'anae Peninsula.</p>

<p>Take a moment to cool off with a quick swim at pristine Hamoa Beach and witness where Haleakala National Park descends from the summit to the sea, as well as the "Seven Sacred Pools" of Oheo at the end of the drive.</p>

<p>With a full day of exploring ahead (expect 8-12 hours), it's important to know the 5 "not to be missed" stops, as well as the numerous additional suggestions if you have time. We also have tips on how to make the most of your journey.</p>

<strong>Reservations to visit Wai'anapanapa State Park and the black sand beach are now mandatory.</strong>

<h3>BATTERY USAGE:</h3>

<p>Continued use of GPS/Location Services in the background can drain your battery faster. We highly recommend using a cigarette-style (DC outlet) car charger. Avoid using a direct connection to the USB port of a rental vehicle.</p>

<h3>IPADS:</h3>

<p>** Please note that iPad models must include a GPS chip. Apple only installs these on the iPad Wifi + Cellular models. Wifi-only iPad models have limited location service capabilities and are unable to automatically play commentary.</p>

<h3>DOWNLOADING:</h3>

<p>The apps have larger file sizes to enable offline functionality. You need to be connected to wifi to download them, as downloads over cellular networks may be blocked by the app store.</p>
